Christianity does not ask people to run faster.
It says only one thing:
“You are loved.”
And this is the story of someone healed from the illness of running
by that very love.
Healing story — The one forgiven so they could walk again
Someone once shared that they ran because they feared judgment.
Ran because they felt unworthy.
Ran because they carried unspoken guilt.
One day, they sat alone before a crucifix.
They looked into His eyes —
eyes without accusation, without condemnation.
And they heard inside:
“I know you’re tired.
I know you’re afraid.
I forgive you.”
They cried.
Not from weakness —
but because for the first time,
they felt unconditionally loved.
From that day, they no longer ran to prove themselves.
No longer ran to hide.
No longer ran from their mistakes.
They walked — lighter, truer —
because they knew:
Love is stronger than sin.
And they were no longer running alone.
