Judaism does not teach escape.
Nor does it teach waiting for miracles.
Judaism teaches growing through trial.
Healing story — The one who rose from their own pain
Someone once experienced a great loss —
betrayal, collapse, heartbreak.
They asked a rabbi:
“Why did God let this happen to me?”
The rabbi replied gently:
“Don’t ask why you face trials.
Ask who you will become through them.”
They cried —
not because the answer was harsh,
but because they realized:
They had been trying to escape pain
instead of asking how to grow from it.
That night, the pain remained.
But they stood up —
because they understood:
Trials do not come to destroy us.
Trials come to shape us
into who we are meant to be.
