(a quiet pause before the story closes)
Day… Month… Year…
Tonight, after the long journey through my fractures, I sit alone again —
but this time, the silence feels different.
There is no storm inside me.
No urgency to fix myself.
No fear of breaking again.
Only one question remains, gentle and steady:
“How do I live with the fractures of the world?”
I have seen my own fractures.
I have learned to look at them,
to hold them,
to soften them,
to gild them.
But when I step into life —
when I see people hurting,
when I see cruelty disguised as justice,
when I see compassion divided into sides,
when I see communities torn apart,
when I see myself tempted by judgment or schadenfreude…
I realize:
The world is full of fractures too.
Not in its essence —
but in the way we live,
the way we fear,
the way we forget each other.
And so I ask myself:
– How do I stay awake in a world that sleeps?
– How do I stay kind in a world that reacts?
– How do I keep compassion alive when the crowd divides?
– How do I avoid passing my wounds to others?
– How do I become a lighthouse without burning out?
– How do I keep my inner island steady when life shakes?
– How do I practice Kintsugi not just with myself, but with the world?
I know now:
Insight is not the end.
Insight is the beginning of living.
I feel ready —
not because I am whole,
but because I am no longer afraid of not being whole.
Tomorrow, I will walk into the world again.
Not to fix it.
Not to save it.
Not to teach it.
But to live with a heart that has learned to shine through its fractures.
And maybe —
just maybe —
someone who is hurting
will see my golden lines
and remember their own.
