Stop Station 17 — Many Goals at Once

Where a returning person stands still among many directions pulling them — to rediscover the natural rhythm of moving forward beneath them

1. Someone returns

A young man walks in.

Around 25–35. Eyes bright yet tense — like someone running toward many directions at once. Quick breath. Steps carrying the rhythm of someone trying to achieve multiple goals in a single day: work, learning, selfdevelopment, family, health, personal projects.

He looks around, searching for a place that doesn’t require him to push further.

In that moment, Stop Station 17 — Many Goals at Onceappears.

Not because he chose it. Not because I chose it. But because his multidirectional state called it into being.

The space slows. The light softens. A still moment appears — like a place where goals can rest without competing.

2. Sharing, listening

Inner Watcher: What are you carrying inside?

Man: I… feel like I must move forward in too many directions. Be better, earn more, learn more, care for family, grow myself. I don’t know which direction is truly mine anymore.

Inner Watcher: You don’t need to choose any direction right now. We’ll just stand here — among all of them.

He exhales — his first breath not pushed by ambition.

3. Emptiness illuminates — Nonaction moves

Inner Watcher: I sense three movements in you: a part pulled by big goals — a part pushed by small goals — a part losing its natural rhythm of moving forward. Not a problem. You’re simply carrying many directions.

Man: I feel like I must keep running. If I stop, I fear I’ll fall behind. But running in too many directions, I don’t know where I’m going.

Inner Watcher: Many Goals at Once is not dropping goals. Not choosing the right one. Not optimizing them. It is simply recognizing that you are being pulled by many directions — and standing still enough to see the natural rhythm beneath them.

Try noticing one goal that feels heaviest right now. Don’t fix it. Don’t judge it. Don’t decide anything. Just see it.

Man: The heaviest goal… is the goal of always moving forward. Even when I’m tired.

Inner Watcher: When you see a goal without stepping into its push, the mind finds space. Not because you abandon the goal. But because you stop being led by it.

He exhales — the breath of someone finally outside his own pressure.

4. Many Goals at Once is a stop station — not a decision

Inner Watcher: You just entered a moment of Many Goals at Once. Not because you dropped goals. Not because you chose one. But because you stood among them — and saw yourself.

Man: I feel… I’m not all those goals. I’m just carrying them.

Inner Watcher: A little standing among goals is a little returning. A little returning is a little peace.

5. He steps back into himself

He stands. His eyes soften. His breath steadies. His steps carry the rhythm of someone no longer pulled by goals.

Not because he “found the right direction.” But because he saw the natural rhythm beneath all directions.

And sometimes, standing among goals just a little — the mind finds its way home.

Closing — Many Goals at Once

Many Goals at Once is when we stand among many directions pulling us and see the natural rhythm of moving forward beneath them. Just recognizing that we carry many goals — and that recognition itself is already a step home. Many Goals at Once keeps us from being led by ambition, from losing our essence, from drifting away from our true rhythm. And sometimes, standing among goals just a little — peace returns a little.
