The spirit of “come and see” — not believing because you heard, but because you saw

I. What is direct experience?

Not reasoning.

Not repeating teachings.

Not believing second‑hand.

Direct experience is:

seeing truth in your own mind.

II. Why direct experience is essential

Because every method, every scripture, every teaching is a pointer, not truth itself.

Truth exists only in the mind as it operates now.

III. What does “come and see” mean?

Not “come and believe.”

Not “come and follow.”

But:

come and see for yourself.

IV. Direct experience dissolves attachment

When you directly see:

• anger,

• craving,

• fear,

• sadness,

• love,

• understanding,

you no longer cling to words, methods, or teachers.

V. Conclusion

Direct experience is the foundation of all Dharma.

Without direct experience → there is no Dharma.
