There are paths in life that do not begin with a grand decision,
but with a very small seeing —
a sudden spark of light shining into one’s own mind.
The series “Lighting the Candle — Jiddu Illuminates the Scriptures” was born from such moments:
“questions that never had answers, and quiet pauses when the mind suddenly turns back to look at itself.”
In these journal pages, the writer did not try to explain doctrine,
nor build a system of thought.
They were simply honest notes of a beginner on the path —
learning to observe himself:
the body, the mind, and life —
under the light of Jiddu Krishnamurti
and in the breath of the Dharma.
1. What was gained from the ‘Lighting the Candle’ journey
Reading through the daily entries,
what remains is not knowledge,
but an inner movement:
• A clearer seeing
Jiddu reminds us that teachings only matter when we truly see ourselves.
When scriptures are illuminated by direct observation,
the familiar becomes alive, intimate, experiential — not theoretical.
• A freedom from frameworks
Jiddu “belongs to no religion,”
and this nonbelonging frees the reader from clinging to systems, labels, or methods.
We learn to look without standing inside a box.
• A necessary stillness
Each journal entry is like a deep breath —
a pause,
a reflection,
a moment of recognizing something within.
• An opening
When the light of Jiddu meets the light of the Dharma,
the writer realizes:
truth does not belong to anyone,
and all paths can meet in awareness.
But precisely when these insights appear,
a new question arises:
How can this seeing become a continuous flow in daily life?
How can one not only “see” for a moment,
but truly live from that seeing?
This question opens the need for a new journey.
2. Why a “60Day Journey of Returning” is needed
In this age —
“a world where with a single tap on a screen, thousands of voices rush in at once” —
young people, or anyone beginning the spiritual path,
do not lack knowledge, teachings, or methods.
What they lack
is a place to illuminate themselves,
a place to return to.
The Lighting the Candle journal lit the first flame.
But that flame needs a space to be nourished.
A stream needs a riverbed to flow.
A seeing needs a journey to mature.
The 60Day Journey of Returning is that riverbed:
· a journey with rhythm
· with the companionship of a teacher
· with a daily return
· with steady practice
· with continuous reflection between Jiddu and the Dharma
If the journal entries were scattered sparks,
then the 60day journey is a rising sun —
slow, steady, and warm enough to sustain life.
3. From seeing to returning
The journal helps us recognize what is happening in the mind.
The journey helps us live what we see.
The journal is the first steps.
The journey is the path.
The journal is the opening of the door.
The journey is stepping through.
The journal is Jiddu’s light shining on the scriptures.
The journey is that same light shining on our own life —
each breath,
each emotion,
each habit,
each fear.
As you wrote:
“He returned not to gather more knowledge,
but to rediscover clear seeing.”
And that is why this transition exists:
to connect two streams —
the stream of seeing
and the stream of returning.
4. An invitation to step into a new journey
If you have walked with me through the Lighting the Candlejournal,
perhaps something has stirred within you —
a question,
a quietness,
a small spark.
The 60Day Journey of Returning is not a retreat,
not a method,
not a system.
It is simply an invitation:
· to return to the teacher
· to return to yourself
· to return to the seeing that has always been there
If you are ready,
we will walk together —
from scattered journal pages
into a journey with breath,
with depth,
with companionship.
